Interesting to see how the various systems reviewed have progressed over time.
Also a very good point is raised, how much customization will it take to produce a system that works for you? Because customizations are time and money spent today, and depending upon the system design, potentially more in the future.
From reading the document, I wish I could get a little more interested in TYPO3. But I am glad to see that eZ Publish has progressed so dramatically in the past few years. With the progress in the two areas most important to me, ease of use and out of the box functionality. A default install using the eZ Flow extension goes so far as to provide quick access to multimedia youtube style capabilities - straight out of the box.
Yet, it is a mystery to me why I have to go into the forums and the code to figure out how to do something as basic as dynamic updating in eZ, new articles automatically published as breaking news for instance. If you trust your content providers, dynamic updating saves a whole bunch of editing time, and speeds the content creation to content consumption cycle.
